Worcestershire Lieutenancy and Worcestershire County Council are encouraging individuals, schools, community groups, villages, landowners, and businesses to get involved in a unique, tree planting initiative, The Queen’s Green Canopy, to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

With a focus on planting sustainably, QGC is a national project which will encourage the planting of trees to create a legacy in honour of The Queen’s 70 years on the throne, to benefit current and future generations. The Lord-Lieutenant, Lt Col Patrick Holcroft LVO OBE, wishes to encourage everyone to take part in this wonderful project and plant trees from 1st October (when the tree planting season begins) through to the end of the Jubilee year in 2022. Everything from single trees, groups of fruit trees, to forests are most welcome! More information at: https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/plant-trees/schools-and-communities/queens-green-canopy/

The Parish council meetings are normally held on the second Tuesday of the month (no meetings in August or December) at Beoley Village Hall

Beoley is a small village and much larger civil parish just north of Redditch in the Bromsgrove District of Worcestershire. Beoley is still a mainly rural area within the Green Belt of Bromsgrove District. We still have farms and farmland, although some farm land has been industrialised. The old coaching inn ‘The Village Inn’ still welcomes visitors. We have a thriving village school, built in 1897, with modern facilities, vibrant staff and curriculum which has an excellent record and is very popular locally, as is Beoley Village Hall opposite. The Village hall has up to date attractive facilities, a licensed bar and has a dedicated management who ensure the Hall is well used and cared for every day of the week. St Leonards Church is a historic building with beautiful grounds. There is a thriving church community with many weekly activites and annual events.
