How are you doing Worcestershire? Covid Impact Focus Groups

How are you doing Worcestershire & Covid Impact Groups

We would like to let you know about our new campaign, How are you doing Worcestershire? We would really like you to get involved.

It has been an uncertain time for everyone over the past couple of years and the pandemic has affected us all in different ways.

The Public Health team at Worcestershire County Council recognise this and would like to find out how the people of Worcestershire are faring?

The ‘How are you doing Worcestershire?’ conversation has just launched across Worcestershire County Council’s social media channels. It aims to encourage people in the county to start to talk about how they are feeling.

It is an opportunity for residents to share their stories of how the pandemic has personally affected them, what they have done to cope, how they are feeling now and what being well means to them.

The campaign invites everyone to be a part of the discussion and join a new Facebook group, How are you doing Worcestershire?, a place to share ideas, chat and get support.

This platform will also provide an array of advice, hints and tips for how you can feel well and enjoy life to the full. It also directs people to guidance if they are struggling.

Insights gathered as part of this conversation will help Public Health at Worcestershire County Council to prepare for the forthcoming Health and Well Being Board Strategy Consultation launching early next year.

Worcestershire Public Health is looking for community groups and providers to run a series of COVID-19 impact focus groups.  Grants of £2,000 are available to deliver targeted focus group conversations about covid impact.  These conversations will explore beliefs and attitudes to being well since the pandemic, how behaviours may have changed and the support that has been accessed, with communities that are rarely heard from.
